Francesco Bini

Visiting Scientist

Hi! I am a recent MSc graduate and I will join the Lab to work on assessing the spatio-temporal distribution of hunting pressure in the Chaco and Chiquitano regions. I am interested in understanding how anthropic factors impact the biodiversity of areas of the world often overlooked. My main goal for the future is to help prioritise and optimise conservation efforts, as well as to find practical solutions that take into account the needs of local communities too. Besides, I am captivated by exploring the potential consequences of human activities on ecological networks and ecosystems functioning. During my studies, I also worked on monitoring the Eurasian lynx population of Croatia.
