My name is Matías Morales. I am an Agronomic Engineer, with a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Presently I work as an Independent Researcher for the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) and at the Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (INTA), both in Argentina. My primary interests are focused in plant sciences, especially in taxonomy, plant diversity, flora, biogeography, and evolutionary genetics. I integrate different disciplines to elucidate the systematics and current questions about Neotropical plant diversity, conservation and changes in flora and evolution. South America region is my primary field of study, with a particular emphasis on the Southern Cone. From my Ph. D. I specialized in the Legumes (Fabaceae) family and in the Gran Chaco biota.
